In business we trust: data events for the antipodeans - ANZ

Analysts at ANZ explained that business confidence data will be released on both sides of the Tasman today.

Key Quotes:

"In New Zealand, we expect NZIER’s QSBO survey for Q1 to show a theme of slow-and-steady progress, despite apparent pessimism. Our ANZ Business Outlook survey for March showed that a net 20% of businesses were pessimistic. But activity indicators are positive and businesses are getting on with it, with investment and employment intentions heading in the right direction."

"In Australia, the NAB Business Conditions Index for March is expected to remain at a very elevated level, which bodes well for ongoing improvement in the labour market. In February the NAB Business Conditions Index was at a positive net 21%, while the Business Confidence Index showed a net 9% of businesses were optimistic."
