AUD/USD hits fresh 6-week high
FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The AUD/USD received another boost and reached a fresh 6-week high at the beginning of the New York session as the greenback selloff intensified across the board.
AUD/USD extends gains
AUD/USD rose up to 0.9233, marginally surpassing its Aug 21 peak to hit its highest since Jul 29. However, the attempt lacked follow through and AUD/USD pulled back to the 0.9215/20 area most recently. At time of writing, AUD/USD is trading at 0.9216, still 0.2% above its opening price.
AUD/USD levels to watch
As for technical levels, AUD/USD could face immediate resistances at 0.9233 (daily high) and 0.9286 (Jul 29 high), while supports are seen at 0.9200 (20-hour SMA/psychological level), 0.9165 (daily low) and 0.9115 (Sep 6 low).
