EUR/USD drops further below 1.2740

FXStreet (Córdoba) - After a short lived recovery from 1.2743 to 1.2784, EUR/USD weakened again and dropped below 1.2740. The pair bottomed at 1.2715, reaching the lowest price since last Thursday.

The euro is falling across the board, weakened by speculations about another purchase program from the ECB. Greenback strengthened in the market since the beginning of the American session as stocks rise sharply in Europe and in the US.

EUR/USD remains under pressure, trading near daily lows, falling more than 60 pips on Tuesday, moving away from 1.2840/50. The mentioned area capped the upside the last three trading days.

The TD Securities team of experts believe that US/CAD's inability to rise above 1.13 suggests a softer undertone for the pair in the near-term.
