GBP/USD rises above 1.6150 to fresh 1-week high
FXStreet (Córdoba) - Greenback weakened across the board during the American session and reached fresh lows. GBP/USD broke above 1.6150 and rose to 1.6177, the strongest level since October 9.
Ahead of Wall Street closing bell the pair trades near daily highs, consolidating gains as it trades almost a hundred pips above the level it closed on Friday.
GBP/USD rally from 1.5874 goes on
Last week GBP/USD bottomed at 1.5874 and since then moved to the upside, making a strong recovery. From the lows has risen 300 pips, in less than a week.
Cable has been able during the last trading days to recover ground in the currency market. For the third day in a row is the best performer among European currencies, pushing GBP/CHF back above 1.5200 and EUR/GBP to 0.7900.
